Our society has been structured to unfairly give white people preferred treatment, benefits over other races. There are more opportunities for white people to either succeed or avoid getting caught up with the law.

Eveyone should be treated equally! We're all humans....we bleed the same blood and breathe the same air. We're the same species...and just a tiny spec in the universe! It's time we start embarcing other "races" as one. White previledge has gone on for too long..everyone should be treated with the same respect! /rant

I would agree in the past history that this statement would be true. However, in today's society, this is no longer the case. I know of areas that it still may remain, but I also know of places that now the opposite is true. There even remains areas where poor white people are discriminated greatly. So White privilege is no longer prevalent in our society today.

I would agree with you that in past history this statement would be absolutely true. However, in today's society, this is no longer 100% the case. I know of areas in the south where this may remain true, but I also know of places that now the opposite is true. There are places today where even poor white people, called white trash, are disadvataged greatly, with no societial support. So White privilege is no longer prevalent in our society today as an American culture. Those who pitch this narrative as if it is 100% true in society are seeking to divide and undermine the progress America has acheved today that took years to do so. I think if you consider that President Obama held the position of the most powerful man in the world for a full term, you can no longer say our society remains stuck in the past and has greatly advanced to equality among all races. Think about it logically and not emotionally? Even now many Universities are prioritizing miniorities and female applicants over white males greatly. So let's seek to unify and not divide over a statement that is not 100% and not even 50% of a fact in our society today. Just saying...
