Weather and climate are controlled by many different things. The distribution of the land and water can affect the weather and temperatures. Since water is distributed in different amounts, that can be a factor in regard to the changes in weather. If a country is not located close to the ocean, their temperature may be warmer in the summer months.

The cities lying on the coast have access to the breeze off the ocean. Both latitude and altitude relate to climate. The altitude of a piece of land will be cooler with the higher the altitude. Latitude lines determine the placement of a location. The atmospheric circulation affects the temperature because this causes the heat and coolness to travel to different parts of the earth.

People have different times when they think summer starts. If you are a student, then summer probably begins the day after you get out of school because your year is divided into sections based on when you go to school and when you are out of school. However, there is a certain day that is considered to be the first day of summer. In 2018, the first day of summer is June 21st. This is when the summer solstice begins.

However, there are some people who believe that their first day of summer is when the first warm or hot day takes place. In southern areas of the United States, the days get warm sooner than June 21st, but this is still the first day of summer.

Weather refers to the changes in temperature, wind direction and speed and air moisture that take place over a short period of time. It is defined by humidity, pressure, wind, temperature and precipitation. Almost all of the meteorologists claim that weather is an important part of our lives even though we cannot control it. Why? It’s because we use the weather pattern to give us sufficient time to adjust or prepare. In different places, people also experience different kinds of weather such as:

sunny, stormy, rainy, cloudy, hot, dry, wet, windy, foggy, snow, hurricanes, thunderstorm, hail, drought, blizzard and mist.
