Technology Questions and Answers (Q&A)

A picklist in Salesforce is similar to a regular picklist that you would use if you worked in a warehouse. In Salesforce, there are two different kinds of picklists. There is a single picklist and then there is a multi -picklist. Like the name suggests, a single picklist allows the user to select only one single thing or value. One answer is when this type of picklist should be used.

Some examples of where there is only one value for the picklist might include gender or age. Those only require one single value. If there is more than one value or answer to be chosen, then you should convert your single picklist to a multi-select picklist in Salesforce for your business.

Yes, I believe human accomplishments have long-term meaning. Humans created nuclear weapons and now we are living every day with the threat of catastrophic nuclear war. What humans have done to destroy the ozone layer has led to global warming and if steps are not taken to reverse carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions, there will be no future on earth.

There are of course positive human accomplishments as well. For example, advances in medicine and science have led to the eradication of many debilitating diseases. In addition today we have vaccines for infectious diseases like polio, smallpox, measles, rabies and flu.

It is still possible to make money through ad revenue on YouTube, it just works a little differently now. Advertisers will pay YouTube for any videos that are viewed, but will not pay if a video is skipped. There are other ways to make money through YouTube other than ad revenue however. There are a few strategies you could use to avoid making impulse purchases while shopping online. One strategy is to develop a budget by allocating a certain amount every month to clothing, food, entertainment, etc. Use past months to come up with a goal for yourself.

Another strategy is to place items in your online "shopping cart" but make a rule to wait at least 24 hours before you check out. If you still really want or need the item after 24 hours, check your budget, and if it within your budget, buy it. If the item is not within your budget you can usually save the item for later in case you have more funds at a later date.

E-commerce has positively impacted my life. There are many services and goods I would not have been able to access without e-commerce. Some of the most beneficial conveniences for me are the ability to order necessities to be delivered to my house, and the ability to do most of my financial management online.

E-commerce has also facilitated the emergence of online ordering for curbside pickup at grocery stores. As a mother, it is a huge time saver for me to be able to order my groceries and pick them up without having to take my children out of the car and drag them around the grocery store.

I have quit various social media outlets at different points in my life. When I deleted my facebook account, I found it easier to avoid partisan conversation and meaningless memes aimed at sparking controvery.

This reduced my anxiety about the state of the country, but I also felt some isolation. I use social media to share pictures and updates about my family and depend on it to provide contact with some people who live far away. The best solution for me was to delete any friends or organizations that only post news stories, and only use social media to share personal stories and pictures.

Technology, by definition, is always changing. We are more technologically advanced than we have ever been, but we are not as technologically advanced as we will be in the future. Some people are early adoptors of technology and live on the cutting edge.

These people may think we are very much advanced because they pursue the most innovative products. Others wait to adopt technology as it becomes necessary in their lives. Those who do not take up technology as early as others may think we are not very technologically advanced because they are less aware of what is currently possible.

Yes, I do think the government monitors our online activities, to some extent. It would not be possible for them to monitor every person's every move, but I think they use key words and key websites to track activity that might be harmful to our country. For example, the government may have alerts that are activated when someone searches for a topic that might be related or linked to international terrorist groups.

They also might monitor those who frequently visit potentially dangerous websites, such as those associated with criminal activity. I do not think that the government monitors how many times a person purchases new shirts from Amazon however. That would be way too much data to be useful.

I think Blackberry did not succeed because they did not keep up with the changing technology and they did not adapt to the needs of the consumer. It became harder and harder for Blackberry users to fully interact and communicate with anyone else who did not have a Blackberry.

I also think there were technical issues that caused problems for the company. As the iphone got more popular, Blackberry could not keep up with the amount of services offered. The customer service for Blackberry was also not as good as other competitors, making it even less competitive.
