It would depend upon the person you are talking to. Therefore, to define this term would really be impossible. Medications can alter the mind that is not normal. However, it depends on the person because not all drugs do that to people. This would be one way. If a parent has few financial and social resources to work with when they seek out childcare they will find that the quality of childcare available to them has a direct correlation to the number of resources that are also available to them.

The simple facts are that money really does make a difference. Higher rate child care will cost more money. In addition there is the factor of who the parents know that can help them get their child into better facilities for child care.

There are stages that people go through when someone dies that is close to them. They will experience grief, but they will experience other symptoms as well. The first stage of grief is denial. When someone hears the words that their loved one has died especially if it was unforeseen, then the family may be in denial.

They don’t want to believe that it happened. Next, the people are angry. They are unhappy with God or the circumstances surrounding their loved one’s death. The third stage is bargaining which means that the family members will try to negotiate with God about bringing back their loved one.

Then the family will feel depressed with loss, grief and intense sadness. Finally, the family members will find acceptance and move on.

America is considered to be the melting pot which is a common expression that means America has had many different cultures in the neighborhoods. These cultures are learned by the people living there even though they may not have experienced aspects of this culture before. Hospitals are also seeing people from different cultures. It is important for the nursing staff to become sensitive to these cultural differences.

First, they should be able to determine that there are differences and then they may have to look up the culture for these people to make sure that they are not insulting them accidentally. Some cultures do not like to look people in the eye. The nurse should consider that these nonverbal cues, like eye contact is different in their culture.

The nurse might show empathy with the possibility of the surgery next day. It's important to allow the patient to express worries and concerns rather than lie alone all night in a state of fear. The nurse can fall back on his/her experience and share this, that it's most usual, not cowardly, to fear the surgery, then reassure that everything is in place to make the operation as safe and as successful as possible.

Mention of the consultant's qualification and experience and possibly recent successes, with happy outcomes for patients. Family roles can and do change because of illness.
