Nuclear Energy Questions and Answers (Q&A)

Nuclear fission is an atomic reaction whereby two atoms are fused together to create a single large atom with the release of enormous amounts of energy, fission reactions are very unstable and can result in massive amounts of energy. These reactions are often used in atomic bombs to release destructive amount of energies. Nuclear fusion is another reaction whereby a nuclear atom disintegrates into two simpler atoms by release of energy.

These radioactive atoms are often harvested for energy as this energy release ca be controlled. There is a potential for using nuclear energy as an efficient source of day to day energy, if we are able to control the rate of energy release.
