A lot of people celebrate Juneteenth because they want to show that they are always open to equality. Even if people have started to become more open about the changes that are happening in this world, there are still some people who cannot help but judge others based on their social income, their race, the way that they look and so much more. By celebrating Juneteenth, they will show their support to the removal of slavery in America.

This will signify freedom not only for the Black Americans that were considered to be slaves back then but for everyone who would like to experience being freer. If there is one thing that can hinder happiness, it is the inability to be free.

This is also called Freedom Day in the US because this is the day when slavery was supposedly removed. Slavery used to be extremely rampant in the USA. There were some African Americans who were forcibly taken from their homes in order to become slaves in America. On June 19, 1865, the soldiers made it a point to free the remaining slaves in Texas to the joy and relief of most of the slaves.

The fact that they were freed that day signifies that the USA is a land for the free no matter what your skin color is. The USA right now is full of people from various races that are also considered as Americans. They deserve the same treatment as White Americans too.

Celebrating Juneteenth is not only being done because it is fun and exciting. People should remember the things, the hardships, and all of the trouble that they have encountered back then. Some of the slaves were forcibly taken from their hometowns and some of them were forced to work with no money.

Some of them were lucky because they were able to meet masters who also cared for them but it still does not change the fact that slavery is wrong. The lack of money does not make any person less of a person from a person who has a lot of money. A lot of people now only care about making money because they see the need to post on social media.

The design of the Juneteenth flag comes with the colors red, blue, and white. In the flag, you would see that there is a star that seems to be coming out of the “horizon” of the flag. This will represent the new people who will not support slavery. The colors of the flag are meant to represent the slaves and to make everyone remember that their descendants are also Americans.

It is meant to make Americans realize that no matter what their color is, they are all Americans. People should not be discriminated because of the way that they look and what the color of their skin is. Nobody deserves to become a slave.
