The Tom Dooley song made it possible for folk songs to enter mainstream pop again. This song is actually based on the murder of a woman. The perpetrator’s name is supposedly Tom Dula.

Studio 54 was the most famous Nightclub hangout in the United State but now it has become a Broadway theatre. Studio 54 is located at 254 West 54th Street, between Eighth Avenue and Broadway in Manhattan, New York City. The building was originally built as the Gallo Opera House which started operation in 1927 of which it severally changed names and eventually became a CBS radio and television Studio 52.

The building was renamed after its location In the late 1970s when the disco dancing and music trend was at its highest ratio and this made it the world-famous discotheque and nightclub.
