It has been known and observed from time past that Halloween is always celebrated every last day in the month of October, and the year 2019 is not an exemption. Thus, the Halloween day for the year 2019 would be celebrated on 31st October 2019. Halloween is traditionally referred to as "All Hallow's Eve." The Christians usually celebrate the holy day of 'All Hallow's Eve' or 'All Saints Day' on the 1st November, while the real 'All Hallow Day' is targeted to be celebrated an evening before this Christian's 'All Saint's Day.'
For this year 2019, the day of the celebration falls on a Thursday. The UK's Brexit Day is also going to be celebrated alongside the Halloween Day this year. The Brexit Day marks the day that the United Kingdom leaves the European Union. You can celebrate your Halloween Day by getting a nice dress to rock the day in a new style. In addition, do not forget to gather your pumpkins to make some nice carvings.
Halloween dates back to about 1745, and it is of Christian origin. The word Halloween means "Saints" evening. It comes from the Scottish term for All Hallows Eve, which is the evening before All Hallows Day. The origin is Celtic, and it is called the festival of Samhain. The Celtics Halloween began in the United States in the 1900s through immigrants from Scotland and Ireland. The people brought the holiday to the United States.
Halloween was commercialized in the 1900s, and people began wearing costumes in the 1930s. Trick or treating became an important tradition in the 1950s. There were, however, certain Halloween customs and traditions which began sooner. For instance, pumpkin carving is a ritual that started in 1837. There is also a popular Irish Christian folktale associated with the jack' o lantern. The carved pumpkin represents the soul of a person who has been denied entry into both heaven and hell.
When I was very young, I wanted to be just like She-Ra Princess of Power. She-Ra is a fictitious character in the 1985 Filmation cartoon of the same name. In the series, She-Ra was intended to represent the female version of He-Man. Her real name was Princess Adora. She was actually He-Man's long-lost twin sister. She-Ra was nicknamed "the most powerful woman in the universe."
This appealed to me because I wanted to be strong and guard against the forces of evil, even from an early age. My She-Ra Halloween costume was so cool because I got to have a giant cardboard sword. I also had a very special bright red cape. I thought I was so tough. I was very happy that Halloween.
The tradition that is imbibed whereby faces are carved into fruits and vegetables can be traced back to the Celts. Hundreds of years ago, the Celtic people built large bonfires in their fields, believing that light would guide them to and from the bonfires because the shadows of the bonfire have evil spirits lurked in them. So as to be able to place a candle in the vegetable, they would hollow out the inner part of it, and carved face on the turnip.
They believed the light shining through the carved face would provide illumination for their paths home and would also scare the evil spirits away. The Irish referred to these carved vegetables as Jack O'Lanterns. In the year 1584, a French explorer named Jacques Cartier traveled down to North America, where he said to have found "gros melons" around St. Lawrence region. This "gros melons" is what English refers to as pumpkins. However, they claimed pumpkins to be the best fruit for carving, and it's still in practice up to this day.

A lot of things have been attached to Halloween, especially about those born on Halloween. So many people believe that they are specially made in that they have the ability to interact and operate in some spiritual dimensions. It is believed by many that those who were born on Halloween have the tendency to see far beyond what a normal person will see. It is also believed that those born on Halloween can't be attacked by evil spirits.
The explanation for this is that there is only a thin line that separates those who were born on Halloween and the spiritual realm. And because of this little interaction between them, they are immune to their power. Many believe that negative power won't work on those born on Halloween. Some believe that when you give birth on Halloween, you have successfully welcome bad luck into your life. However, a lot of people also believe that everything about Halloween is just another form of superstition.
While the majority of people will only be celebrating Halloween on October 31, some people were born on this day, and this translates to double celebration. However, some celebrities were born on Halloween day; the majority of them are; actors, actresses, politicians, singers, models, musicians, etc. The first person on my list is Peter Jackson. He is a filmmaker from New Zealand. He has directed and produced so many movies. The second person on my list is Christopher Columbus.

Halloween cannot be celebrated in India because of different reasons. First of all, trick or treat will require kids to go to random houses to ask for candy. The culture of India will not permit this, especially since they are not recommended to talk to strangers. A lot of Indians also feel that Halloween is too fancy for them. They are usually more focused on trying to do well in school so that they can reach the professions that they want.
Dressing up in different characters is not something that they may find amusing. There are also other things that India may focus on. They have their own festivals that they are always proud to celebrate. Those are just some of the reasons why India does not celebrate Halloween.
Two favorite fictional horror movies are Halloween and Friday the 13th. Many think that these movies are of the same plot, characters, and story, but in reality, they are not similar to one another. The film Halloween revolves around the serial killer Michael Myers who does killing spree every Halloween night. This started when Michael killed his older sister when he was just six years old.
The spree continued for decades as he either could not be caught easily or he escaped from the sanitarium. Myers’ signature weapon is a chef’s knife. Friday the 13th, on the other hand, revolves around Jason Voorhees, is the son of a cook in a camp who drowned. This incident made him want to kill without feeling guilty of his actions. He is known to wear a hockey goalie mask and use a machete to kill his victims.
It depends on your age. It’s eventually up to you. Halloween is a day to dress up as a scary character but times have changed and Halloween is nowadays more of a cosplay event. You could go the old-fashioned way and dress up as a ghost, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and other classic horror genre villains. If you want new ideas, I would suggest you look at the best horror movies from 2018 and try out their costumes. Since horror movies have been rather simplistic with costume design, you should have an easier Halloween.
You can try the characters from the Abbott Family (John Krasinski, Emily Blunt etc) from the movie A Quiet Place and if you can afford the monster design you could have an epic decoration. (image below)
Same goes for Rafe Spall’s character in the movie The Ritual (image below).
The new Halloween movie that comes out last week can help you don the iconic character in his 2018 update. (image below)
You can even dress up as the Nun. (image below)
Now, since I talked about cosplay above. Let’s talk about popular characters from this year, you can dress up as. It includes any and every Marvel and DC Superhero and Villain. This is followed by Star Wars and Incredibles. There is always the possibility of the princess and prince trope common to small children every Halloween. The most common cosplay this Halloween season would be Venom, Black Panther, Wasp, Ant-Man, Deadpool and Lara Croft. I plan on dressing up as a vampire. I Hope you find the idea that you like and I wish you a Happy Halloween!
