  • Don’t think too much as it can make you stressed and stress causes your body to gain fat. This is because stress triggers the release of the stress hormone, cortisol which in turns increases the appetite of people.
  • Avoid too much consumption of sugary foods. Sugar can cause your body to produce fat to some extent. Also, eat healthy foods cooked with coconut oil.

Health-related physical fitness is associated with functional health and it prevents us from diseases. There are five health-related fitness components: Flexibility, Cardiorespiratory Endurance, Muscular Strength, Muscular endurance and Body Composition.

Skill-related physical fitness is also called performance fitness as it involves the ability to perform during sports and games. There are six skill-related fitness components: Agility, Balance, Coordination, Power, Reaction Time, and Speed.

If you don't really study or check the difference between jogging and running, you might easily think the two forms of exercise are the same. There are some differences between jogging and running. Jogging is simply a form of exercise in which you run at a slower rate compared to when you are practically running. The first difference is the pace or the speed at which the two forms of exercise are being practiced. Jogging is usually advised for people in order to have fitness of the body.

Running on the other hand is also a form of exercise but it is usually practiced in sport. When you are running, there is a level of seriousness you put to it because there is no way you can be running if there is nothing chasing you or probably you are chasing something. Usually the footwear you choose should be aligned to the activity you are carrying out. There are sneakers that are designed especially for walking with support under the arches, perhaps. There are sneakers that are best for tennis, others that are better for running and then there are sneakers that just cater for fashion and appearance.


The last may command a high price for little benefit in design and support. If you want a good sneaker for a workout, think about the particular exercises that comprise your exercise regime and perhaps your fitness instructor or the physio attached to the gym will have some advice to give you.

Fitness is important to everyone. In public services the need is not greater, it is just that it is more likely that exercise will be avoided. You can be very busy stuck in an office and feel 'there is no time' to engage in fitness activities.


However, like absolutely every other employee, those in public service need fresh air, daylight - even when it's cloudy - and exercise of whatever sort, but daily! Apparently exercise frees up the mind and certainly improves depression, which I suspect is a hazard in corporate work.

Ginger is an excellent taste improver, like other spices, for instance, in chicken dishes but also has some health benefits. It is recommened for queasiness. Ginger seems to aid digestion and saliva flow.


You can make ginger tea for feelings of nausea, but perhaps best not if you are pregnant. It is also good for warming you up as it warms from the inside to drink when you feel a cold coming on.

Personally? Fitness is very important as I do not want to end up with obesity, premature dementia or depression. I schedule part of every day for exercise of some sort. It doesn't much matter whether it is a good walk, a swim or a gym session or a class such as Pilates, Ballet, or Zumba.


These last are all good for core strength. What has been recognised is that those who are long-lived have exercised, not just physically but mentally. It is important to take advantage of opportunities in both respects. So my anser to you is that fitness plays a role in my daily life like food, rest, work, socialisation and recreation.
