From drawings on the walls of caves, to the classic writings of William Shakespeare, art has been a form of expression for thousands of years. Art comes in many forms such as painting, sculptures, song, poetry, theatre, film, dance and so much more. Art can be found in almost any corner of the world and is believed to never go away.
From dancing in the streets of a third world country, to artists selling their art work in downtown New York, art is definitely not going anywhere any time soon. In fact, not only is art not decreasing in popularity, but there has been an increase in the number of individuals majoring in some form of art in college.
There are no specific striking examples of beauty in art. A person may find an art beautiful, while others will probably beg to differ. It doesn’t really necessarily mean that an art is not beautiful just because a lot of people couldn’t appreciate it. In art, there is always the specific qualities in a subject matter. An artist may paint a sunset and others may perceive it as beautiful while others may see it as plain and boring.
An artist cannot simply please everyone and if he or she plans to do so, he or she will be faced with unrealistic demands. We have our own perspective of beauty and there is no right or wrong perception when it comes to beauty in art. After all, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
