5th Grade Questions and Answers (Q&A)

The correct answer to this question is B, Energy of Motion. Matter, which the energy of motion moves, is a substance consisting of various types of particles. These particles have intertia and occupy physical space. Each particle has mass and size. Protons, neutrons, and electrons are the most known examples of these particles.

The energy of motion is known as kinetic energy. Options in motion change direction, moving either up, forward, down, or backwards. The stored energy in this object is the kinetic energy, which allows the object to move from its stored state. All moving objects have this energy.

Correct answer is option B
Two types of energy are present in all objects; these energies are Kinetic and potential energy. A moving matter has energy of motion (kinetic energy). It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity. All particles in matter have kinetic energy.

Potential energy is a type of energy that is stored in an object. It is the energy held by an object because of its position relative to other objects, stresses within itself, electric charge, and other factors.
Hope this helps.

The correct answer to this question is C, Air mass. A meteorologist would know this term, for it is the context in which air mass is used. Air masses can cover up to hundreds, as well as thousands of miles. No matter what distance they travel, they adapt to the surface that is below them.

Polar and artic are terms for areas with colder air masses. Tropics is the term for areas with warmer air masses. There are also maritime air masses. This one affects locations such as the Gulf of Mexico and Florida. Superior air masses are around as well, and they are dry and don't often reach the ground.

Coal, oil and natural gas are all called fossil fuels because they are items that can be used as fuel in the modern world. They have been around for a long time. In fact, time is responsible for making them the type of organic material that they are now. They have been exposed to the earth’s natural heat and pressure from the crust.

Without these things, they wouldn’t be the fossil fuels that they are today. There are different types of fossil fuels that are available but they are starting to become fewer because of people’s consumption. The time may come when there will not be enough fossil fuels to sustain the world.
