The Palestinians do not have a navy. When the Oslo agreements were set up in 1993, it was the first time Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) agreed to formally recognize each other and they also agreed to negotiate peace. Also as part of the Oslo agreement, Israel was given military control, which meant the Palestinians did not need an army or a navy.

It’s actually quite common for people to convert from one religion to another, from no religion to a religion, or from a religion to no religion. The reasons probably are as varied as the number of people but most all decisions are personal ones. For example, two people may want to get married and raise children but one spouse needs to convert to match their spouse’s religion so ...

An untrained dog may protect his owner, but protection is more of an instinct than a learned behavior. If the owner is nice to the dog and provides him with the things he needs, most dogs will feel a need to protect their owner. Even young dogs, or dogs that do not know any commands may bark at a stranger if they come too close.
Some dogs may even put themselves at risk to protect ...

Sybil Ludington is a forgotten American Revolutionary war heroine. Everyone remembers Paul Revere and his famous midnight ride. It is hard to say if Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) was a racist. I suspect he was not a racist but I can understand why some people might think that he was because he ordered the detainment of Japanese-Americans. And, he may have successfully defeated other great armies and can take credit for expanding Greek culture from India to Egypt but he was also barbaric and should be viewed the same as Hitler, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, Napoleon, and any other mass murderers.

I would nominate Mary, Queen of Scots, as one of the most overrated historical figures. She has been called a Catholic martyr and she certainly suffered a lot during her life. Her father died shortly after her birth. She was raised away from home at the French court where she was treated like a princess and eventually married her first husband, the young French prince. Tragically, the prince ...

I don’t know that I ever purchased anything that would be considered “cool” but I have purchased lots and lots of different things on Amazon, from books and toys to parts for lawnmowers, paint guns, and kitchen and bath items. I guess what’s really cool is that I don’t think I have ever not been able to find what I want on Amazon.
I also really like how I ...

I used to depend a lot more on online reviews when trying to decide what to buy. I still will often read a few of the reviews but I mostly look at the distribution or rankings which are typically offered in terms of the number of stars. If there are a bunch of 1 star reviews, I will not purchase the product and I will look for a different product.
The reason I don’t put as much ...
