A-Class Driving School - Online driving quiz - controls Knowing the controls of the car are vitally important.  I've had a student fail their test before because she couldn't remember where the windscreen wiper stalk was!  Make sure you know what every button, knob, dial, pedal, and switch does.  Don't be afraid to ask in the lesson, that's what driving instructors are there for. The other reason why you should know what everything does is that you'll be tested on this in the "show me, tell me" section of the practical test.  Two questions will be asked right at the start of the test.  Make sure you know all of them before you're final exam.
