I don't understand how 23 out of 50 is good either but.... I'll try again til I succeed all the way to finish.

no, you are thinking that both monday and thursday cost \$5.43 each day where the question actually states that the two days cost \$5.43 TOTAL. For example \$3.02 monday and \$2.41 thursday.
