Jane is a classical Skeptic. One day she mentions her philosophical position to Hector, an Aristotelian. He quickly dismisses her position as self-defeating and unsupportable by argument. Give a two stage reply in which you sketch Jane's defense. Be sure to say (a) why the Skeptics did not believe that their view was self defeating and (b) how they used the problem of the criterion to establish their position.
