Bits per second.
Byte
Set of 8 bits. Used to represent 1 character.

CISC
Complex Instruction Set Computing.
Client
Workstation.
CMOS
Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor.
Coax
A Cable Type.
CPU
Central Processing Unit. (The computer in the computer)
CRC
Cyclical Redundancy Check.
CSMA/CD
Carrier Sense Multipul Access/Collision Detection.

Digital Audio Tape. A data backup method (medium).
DAS
Direct Attached Storage.
DDR
Double Data Rate.
DHCP
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
Differential Backup
Backs up only the information added since the last FULL backup.
DIMM
Dual In-Line Memory Module.
DLT
Digital Linear Tape. A data backup method (medium).
DMA
Direct Memory Address.
DMI
Desktop Management Interface.
DMTF
Desktop Management Task Force.
DNS
Domain Name Service. (IP based service)
DRAM
Dynamic Random Access Memory.
DRP
Disaster Recovery Plan

Extended Data Out.

Fragmentation
Breaking packets into smaller chunks.

Field Replaceable Unit.

Front-side Bus. (a speed measurement).
FTP
File Transfer Protocol. (IP based service)

Logical Unit Number.

Low Voltage Differential.
