Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) aspirants on the Microsoft Windows 2003 track are required to clear 7 exams, or the equivalent, including 5 Core exams and 2 Elective exams.

Exam 70–294 tests you about Active Directory. You are required to be comfortable with Windows Server 2003 forests, domains, sites, Group Policies, and trusts.

The best way to prepare for these exams is to have adequate studying time on the concepts and more than adequate time of hands-on in a simulated environment at least. It will be easier if you have already administered at least a small sized Windows 2000 network for about a year.

2. Read as many technology magazine as you can get your hands on to ensure you are aware of all the latest technology available.

3. Practice as much as you can all the administrative tools

4. Try at least one simulation exam
