The Wii costs $250, way less than M$ console or Sony's George Forman Grill. Nintendo is the only console that is makeing money, so how are they going down the drain? Sony's Blu-Ray is the biggest mistake they've ever made, the $600 price tag is their second.
Actually, you can buy an Xbox 360 for $300. Just $50 more for a console on a totally different level than the Wii. Don't get me wrong, I think the Wii is awesome, and I will get one at some point, I just don't think you can compare it to the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I don't see a bright future for the PS3. In fact, they're losing at least $200 on every console they sell (this is a fact). I'm not sure if Nintendo is selling the Wii at a loss or not, but I know Microsoft is not losing any money on their consoles. You can see accurate sales for all three systems
here. I would assume the Wii would have more than 8,000,000 sales a year from now, but I still think the Xbox 360 is one helluva deal for the hardware you get. Plus, I think next-gen console gaming is truely about the integration of playing online. Xbox Live has that one in the bag.
