I know there are different test each time pulled from random test banks in their system. The one I just
took scoring a 667 was loaded with W7 questions. I am re-tooling a little before I take it again trying to get a little more balance. I will get it next time.

I agree... I just took both test on 10/24/2011. 702 was basically 40% printer questions and stuff about w7. Lets just say i barely passed with 724. I'm not sure which w7 questions were graded if any, but thank god i've been using w7 at work for about 6months. They asked questions about where stuff was located.(user data, default operation system install location, etc.) If you read up on vista you'll be fine. I also had a bunch of command line tool questions and scenario questions. (example: if user x is experience this what is the most likely cause)
I found this forum a day before taking both tests and it really did freak me out. I basically dumped my brain with a whole bunch of cpu and ram specs right before the test. What a waste, there was like 2 maybe 3 questions that even dealt with specs.
I aced the first exam and barely passed the second, but hey... I still passed..

I'm taking the exams this week and the Mike Meyers book I read had very little in it on Windows7. I use a w7 laptop sometimes and Vista is somewhat similar i suppose. I hope thats enough.

Mike released a support book in August of this year for around 20 bucks, its short and covers quite a bit of the added materials. It shouldn't take more than a day or two to read. It also includes updated practice exams.

Lots of Windows 7 content on the exams now. I too had been studying from guides that came out in 2009 that didn't mention Windows 7 but fortunately I did some brushing up on it beforehand.
If your study material is old I suggest getting a book that covers Win 7, particularly if your experience with it is strictly from a casual user standpoint.

I have my 701 exam tomorrow and nothing really that ive been studying is to do with Windows 7.
Could someone just give a small list of what I should look out for so I can study before I take the exam?
Honsou.

I don't get it though for the most part Winodws Vista is very similar to Windows 7, I mean in the sense that A+ certification questions are usually very basic in what they ask of you, I find it a little hard to believe that the Windows 7 questions through you that far off. I looked at the link for the Mike Meyers support book, but it just seems like you probably shouldn't need it.

I am wondering the same thing. I have an XP book but I know the 702 covers XP, Vista and 7. My classmate had a question regarding transferring files from one version to another, etc.
