I'm going to do my best to out do him and point everyone to the study guide jbrown uploaded for me wink.gif

CLICKY

It's shrunk down to fit onto 1 page and it contains IRQs, DMAs, I/O ports, bus slot requirements, and card type availability. Pretty handy smile.gif The file is displayed in the first post by jbrown and the file is uploaded by me in the second post.

This is a great table to study from. I find it easier to learn by repitition and answering questions about these DMA'a. Another list that I have been learning from is a list of all the CPU's and their stats.

This is how I remember the DMAs:
0 D 8
1 S 8
2 F 8
3 E 8
4 D 16
5 S 16
6 F 16
7 E 16

DSFEDSFE = Do Stuff For Everyone
And the Map:
0 (D)RAM refresh
1 (S)ound card
2 (F)loppy disk drive
3 (E)CP or EPP parallel port
4 (D)MA controller
5 (S)ound card
6 (F)ree
7 (E)IDE Hard Drive Controller

It requires me to play with the terms just a bit ('free' not 'available', etc), but the acronym helps me out a lot
