I have just finished a ccna boot camp and looking to take the ccna exam in a few weeks, i am also looking to do ccnp in the future. I asked the teacher he recommended 2611xm router and a 2950 switch. i am just putting a lab together at the moment, i have:

I have been searching the web for suggestions i would defiantly recommend the 2950 switch i was also able to pick up some stuff on ebay and get 20% cashback from microsoft.
