I am nervous and sometimes overwhelemd with studying this book for this exam. I have my A+ that I got back in 2004 but it was a bit different , I belonged to a cert school and they had my study prep all planned out with hands on computer labs. Now I have to do my own. I also had taught myself growing up how to rip computers apart , put them back together, use fdisk, startup disks and all that old stuff for Windows back then. I had a better feeling about taking that test. This one I am nervous, I do not want to fail. I am a Jr. Linux admin right now. I love it but everyday I am hit with the fact at how much more I need to learn before I can progress. I slowly have climbed up the latter starting in a mom and pop shop after my A+, then was recruited to Stanford University to work in the Data Center for 6 years. I learned A TON there and also is where I fell in love with Unix. I had many wise coworkers that taught me Vi and how very important a man page is in this world. Everything has been hands on in my life. I now work at Ti and love it. IM working as a Jr Linux admin and am learning alot. I only possess an A+ cert everything else is self taught or hands on at work . I've come a long way. I look forward to talking with new folks and hopefully getting some answers that have been driving me crazy. For some reason I have problems with upgrading packages, using make , ./configure and all of that.
Some of my other interests are punk rock , rock n roll, live shows, hanging out with the homies, buidling computers , reading books , watching crime tv, dexter, the L word and a ton of other stuff. I love Black Sabbath and love to laugh. I am open to answering any questions or helping to solve problems in any way that I can contribute.
I just learned what a Brain Dump is and am happy to say I am A+ certified through hard work and dedication and plan on always doing that in order to receive my certificates.
