Hi,

Someone online on a different forum introduced me to an SAT board game from a company called TestPrepU, so I wanted to pass on the favor. We were having trouble getting our teen interested in studying and even looking forward to college. Getting the game was a huge help. We have been having fun as a family and the kids have been playing on their own with friends even. Introducing a game seems to have taken the fear and dread out of the SAT and made it a less daunting experience. Also, it seems to be helping up the kids scores. Got it on amazon.com, maybe can buy it instore - not sure.

Paying it forward!
Mandy

Thanks for sharing! Is this the game you were referring to?

Hey there,

Our family just got this game as a gift. It is a lot of fun. I confess that my husband and I had friends over the other night and we played it - without the kids! I highly recommend this game. I only wish it was more available. I guess I am "old school", I prefer to buy in a store, rather than online. Luckily my husband is in the computer business - he's the one who bought it off of amazon.com. Seriously, playing this game with the family has really opened up talks about college. Now when I tell them to go study they challenge me to a game and I am kind of stuck! It has brought us all closer together. Highly recommend. Pass it on! www.testprepugames.com

hey, I don't know if it is the same game, but I have been using SAT Game for Dummies and it is awesome. My score increased by 350 in a month. I think because you do so many questions, so quickly that you just get it. Highly recommend it. My parents got it online on amazon if anyone is interested.

Hey,

Thanks for the game. I FINALLY got mine - it was practically impossible to find! It was sold out at Borders, ToysRUs, lost the bid on eBay . . . finally I got it on amazon, but also discovered you can buy direct at satgamefordummies.com It is amazing fun - who would have thought! I totally kicked my dad's *** at the math questions last night - it was awesome. I think he finally is getting it that I'm not lazy - the SAT is just hard. Don't think there is a better way for parents to learn than to see for themselves.

Is this serious..? I wish my family would play an SAT game with me rather than complaining about having to drop me off and pick me up from a test. sleep.gif

Oh and those links don't work anymore.

If your family won't play, why don't you just get a bunch of friends together - even one other person is way better than sitting in your room wasting the night studying by yourself until you go crazy!Plus - it was a gr8 xcuse to have people over.

sorry about the link - this should work:

SAT Game for Dummies

But, the game is in Borders now too, so you don't need to go online.
