I would say that a good score depends on where you want to go to college; A top 30 school will probably want to see above 650 on each section.

Depends on what school you want to get into. Most schools publish their average SAT scores online. You should aim for at least 30-70 points above that score average.
here are a few pointers
1. IVY LEAGUE SCHOOLS: You need to be in the top 95-99 percentiles. That means a SAT score of 2100 or higher
2. AVERAGE SAT SCORE NATIONWIDE: The average SAT score is aproximately 1500 (500, 500, 500), putting you in the 49-50 percentiles. Getting an average score is not recommended, as most top colleges demand at least 1800+

You need a lot off good exam results to get in college and get the best possible grade you can ever get.

It depends on the college you want to attend to after highschool. 600 on all parts is good enough but for the top colleges be sure to score 700 on all parts.

I'm a little bit confused but the practice tests gave me some grades over 800. Is that normal? I thought you can only get 800 max for each section?
