Bought my voucher and scheduled my test for January 29th. Im doing some final studying and re-reading alot of material. Im pretty confident on my ability to pass this test, just a little nervous. This will be my first Microsoft exam and to be honest its kinda scary. Ive been using all the materials on this website to help prepare me for the exam and this website is probably the best website i have found as far as the amount of free study material available. i will keep everyone posted on my test results. thank you very much. the big day is getting closer and closer and each day i feel as if i know more and im constantly learning something that i "missed". how theres so much stuff that just seems new to me i dont know. lol. Im pretty confident i got this one nailed though.

Passed 70-270 today with an 800. Not the ideal score that i was hoping for but its definately a pass. I found the test quite difficult as it covered alot of material i was not familiar with. Now onto the 70-290

Well its kind of a long story. Ill tell you my entire exam prep schedule.

I bought a bad book. I wouldnt advise getting the book i had. I bought it used on Amazon for 54 cents (lol). Its called MCSE training kit. Its 754 pages of what i thought to be a good exam prep book. I read the book one time through taking all kinds of notes. I was pretty confident in what i was reading and started taking some transcender tests and measureup tests, as well as a lot of study material on this site and other sites. The book itself didnt really help me as far as the test is concerned. I honestly think i could have passed it without even opening the cover.

Well when i started taking transcender practice tests my starting score was around 40-50%. Every time i took the test i would make notes on every question that i missed, print out a study sheet at night and read through it before bed. Having someone quiz me really helped. About a week after starting the transcender exams my average score was around a 70%. I was getting more confident in my test knowledge so i decided to schedule the exam for 2 weeks later.

during that 2 weeks i studied practically every moment that i was sleeping or at work (which really isnt that much time). Ive found that in the past its best for me to schedule my exam, so i know its coming, and cram for it up until the day of the test. I guess you could say its a little more motivation to get it done.

I bought my book the day before thanksgiving of 2010, and received it a week later. It took me about a month to get through the book. So from October to January 31 is right around 3 months. Give or take a little.

It can be done much quicker if desired. Dont base your study time on mine. You will know when you are ready to take it if you havent already. I work 6 days a week 45-50 hours, so study time is really a precious thing to me.
