Aplus Exam Tip: Remembering Laser Printing Process

Posted by , Oct 15 2005, 01:22 PM

Laser Printers are, by far, the most popular printers in the market now. If you are planning on taking CompTIA's APlus Certification Exam, it is important that you understand the laser printing process. The process has the following steps:

Clean-Charge-Write-Develop-Transfer-Fuse

Since the order in which the above steps occur can be a bit confusing, we thought we'll share with you a mnemonic that help in remembering this.

California-Cows-Won't-Dance-The-Fandango

The first letter of each word in the sentence above stands for a step in the laser printing process. Another mnemonic that serves the same purpose is:

Can-Chris-Write-Down-The-Facts ?

Or use:
Continuous-Care-Will-Delay-Trouble-Forever

If you are studying Printers for the Aplus exam, do also take a look at the Printer Study Guide

This helped .... big time. I did my own twist on this. Since my name is Cornelius I had this saying:
Can Cornelius Write Down The Facts

It worked. And I didn't even have to write it down ;-)

Maybe this is the same as what you all are saying but I was taught that the steps of laser printing were
Cleaning, conditioning,writing,developing, transferring and fusing.
