Welcome to our animation flashcards! Animation is defined as the process of making the illusion of motion and change by means of the rapid display of still images that slightly differ from each other. Animation can be recorded with film, video tape and more. Animation methods include traditional animation and those involving animation using such aids as clay figures and puppets. In our first set of flashcards, we cover important historical events in animation.

We discuss the first talking animated film, the first feature length animated movie, the first computer animated movie and many more. In our other flashcards we cover commonly used terminology in animation.
