What is the difference between a Red Oak and a White Oak?
Red Oaks have points at the end of the leaves, where White Oaks are round at the tips.
What is the difference between alternate and opposite?
Alternate leaves occur alternately on the right and then left, where opposite leaves are exactly opposite each other on a branch.
What does it mean if a leaf is compound?
Compound leaves have many parts, or look like a cluster of leaves.
What does it mean if a leaf is simple?
Simple leaves do not appear in clusters or in big groups that look like may parts, there is only one leaf.
What is the difference between a broad leaf and a needled leaf?
Needles are thin and long and you cannot see veins. Broad leaves have veins and are flat and wider than needles.
