Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning

Space between the suspended ceiling and the structural floor above.

A unit or device that radiates heat from water to the surrounding air, usually through closely spaced fins. Convectors are usually placed against a wall under a window.

Consists of two or more plastic -insulated conductors encased in a continuous spiral-wound strip of steel tape. Used in remodelling work & to connect commercial light fixtures in a suspended ceiling.

Thin, flat, protected wire that can be laid under carpet without protruding.

Steel or approved plastic boxes to which the conduit or other cable system is attached. For single switched and duplex outlets, they measure 2"x4". Larger boxes are 4" square.
