What are the seven steps to using a fire extinguisher?
1. Remove extinguisher from the wall hanger bracket.2. Remove the safety pen. Hold the extinguisher up right. Twist and pull the safety pen.3. Remove the wand from the clips.4. Stand a minimum of 10 feet from the fire. Aim the nozzle at he base of the fire.5. Squeeze the handle and continuously sweep in an horizontal motion until the fire is extinguished.6. Avoid inhaling the fire extinguisher discharge chemical.7. Call emergency fire response services quickly if needed.
Describe ways to prevent falls.
1. Keep the floor clean and dry.2. Mop 15 minutes before peak periods so that the floor can dry3. Clean up spills right away4. Put up caution wet floor signs at eh edges of the wet floor.5. Us a Hi-lo deck brush and the proper cleaning solution to remove grease and soil.6. Clear away snow and put salt or other melting substance on ice. 7. Always wear slip resistant shoes which are designed for use on slick surfaces.
Give proper lifting technique.
1. Always lift with your legs.2. Do not lift with your back.3. Do make sure you can see over what you are carrying.4. Do not lift more that you can carry easily.5. Do use a ladder if you cannot easily reach something.6. Do not reach above your head.
