 Side A Side B 1 composite A number that has more than one and itself as factors. 2 decimal A special way to write a fraction with denominators of 10, 100, 1000 etc. 3 denominator The bottom number in a fraction. 4 equivalent fraction Fractions that are equal (ex. 1/2 and 4/8). 5 even A number that has 2 as a factor (ex. 2,4,6,8,.....). 6 exponent A small number written to the upper right of a number--it tells how many times to use a factor. 7 factor A ______ X _______=product 8 factor tree The chart used for prime factorization 9 factor ladder A way to list the factors of a number. 10 fraction A special way to show parts of a whole; another way to write a ratio. 11 Greatest Common Factor The largest factor that two numbers share. 12 Improper Fraction A fraction greater than one--the numerator is greater than the denominator. 13 Least Common Multiple The smallest multiple that two numbers share. 14 Mixed Number A number composed of a whole number and a fraction.
