What are the basic key points that you need to know about the dark room?
A) Developer – however long it takes to develop/ around 90 seconds What does it do? Develops image b) Stop Bath – 30 seconds What does it do? Stop chemicals to develop c) Fixer – 2 mins What does it do? the fixer permenates the black and white shades on to the photographic paper d) Wash – 5 mins What does it do? this washes all of the chemicals off the photograph e) Hang up image to dry
What is aperture and how does it work?
Device within the lens that can be altered to determine the amount of light that enters the camera. Also alters depth of field.
Problem solving... what is dodging?what is burning?what is depth of field?
Dodging – making lighter (moving a solid thing over the spot you want lighter to stop light from making it darker – dark room) Burning in – making darker (moving a solid thing over the the rest of the image apart from the spot that you want dark. The solid things stop more light coming through to the spot that already has enough on it – dark room)
