•Philosophy means literally “love of wisdom” seeking wisdom for the knowledge not for only reward.

•Opinion is the subjective knowledge everyone has. In philosophy says it’s the starting point (opinion) to change who you are and how you think

•Logic, Ethics, Metaphysics, and Entomology are the main branches of philosophy

•Logic is got to do with methods and principles and understanding reasoning. Logical and illogical. Rules of thinking correctly or incorrectly. Aristotle was part of drawing rules for logic.

•Ethics the study of right and wrong behavior. How and why you should or shouldn’t do something.

•Metaphysics what is reality, what is the universe. Theories and principles of reality.

•Entomology Theories of knowledge what is knowledge where does it come from and what does it mean. Socrates believes this world isn’t capable of accepting true real knowledge.

•“Sophia” is the Greek word for wisdom. Sophist does something for personal gain, and Philosopher seeks the truth.

•Heraclitus (everything is changing) Pythogoras (number) Protagorus (culture)

•Logos is the common order of the universe. See the cosmic order of the logos to know what to do.

•Heraclitus said we physically are no longer the same person who we were. Cells die and new cells are generated.

•Polis means city/state. They function like cities.
