If ↑ liver disease
(↑ AST, ↑ ALT): ↑ carbs, ↓ protein, ↓ Na
If ↑ renal disease
(↑ BUN, ↑ CR):

↓ protein, NO K+, Na+, and Phosphorus
If Iron deficient, good sources of iron in diet are:
- beef, brown rice, raisins, green beens, eggs
- NO coffee (contains tannin, which combines with nonheme iron and prevents absorption)
