What are componentsof an information revolution?
When a new communication technology serves the need of a people who are in the midst of a profound change. -Permanently affects entire societies -Shakes political structures -Influences economy, comunal activity and personal behavior -Becomes part of a changing society

Define the process of Mass Communication.
Begins with a SOURCE, who has a MESSAGE which is produced with an ENCODER, goes through a CHANNEL until it reaches a DECODER (TV, radio, computer, etc.). From there the RECEIVER (Audience) gets the message , and provides FEEDBACK about it.

The process by which innovations are adopted. Diffusion is the spread of technolgy through society.
What are relative advantages of a music CD?
Better than cassette tapes, because they fit more audio, and the user is able to skip between tracks without having to forward or rewind tape.
Explain compatibility using the CD and DVD.
The user would contemplate if you needed the same technology for DVDs that you needed for CDs. Would you need a new player?

The growth rate declines.
