Plot
Janine was at school with Scott when they try to skip school and go to the beach. It was raining. They were going to get fast food when a driver ran a red light and there was an instant crash. The next thing you know Janine is rising from her body laying in the hospital bed to what I believe was heaven. She was dead. When she was in this misty bright place she saw her grandpa and to who she thought it was, her dead sister, Lenore. Everyone told her to go back, that she was simply to young to die. Lenore seemed to be the only one with hatred growing across her face as she stared at Janine. Janine had killed Lenore. Soon after she came back to life she felt someone or something there with her. It was Lenore. Lenore soon takes over Janine's body to learn what life is like from her own perspective, her sister's body.
Mood
The mood of this book is intense an very sad. At parts the mood would often be grief, pain, and loss. This was overall a very suspensful book.
Theme or Moral
The theme or moral of this book is to be who you are, not a copy.
Why I liked this book & favorite part
I liked this book because of the suspense and excitement it shows. The thing I remember the most from the book is when Janine finally realizes what happened at the lake 9 years ago, how she indeed killed her own sister.
Memorable Paragraph
"When om was gone, I glued my mind to thoughts of home so I wouldn't think about Scott. I thought about our dog, Boomer, and Mrs. Kimberly's cats."She's nice."The words came to me as clearly as if someone had spoken, yet I knew I had heard no voice."What?" I said aloud."She's nice. Our mother."Lenore, she was there with me."
Reccomendations
I would reccomend this book to people who like intense and suspensful mysteries.
