GCX Business Terminology

Return On Investment. A calculation to show what we will get back from an investment. Generally expressed in dollars or in time (e.g. investment paid back within 12 months).

Just In Time. A production planning method where finished goods inventory is eliminated by building products "just in time" to meet a sales demand.

The entire chain from mining of raw materials all the way through delivery of a product to an end user. When we refer to it, we often mean all production steps PRIOR to those performed by GCX.

Projected Demand - The demand forecast for a GCX product. Our best guess as to the qty we will sell in weekly buckets over the planning horizon. Demand projections are entered and maintained by the Product Manager.​

Original Equipment Manufacturer. By this, we normally mean a medical device manufacturer that will utilize a GCX product as either an accessory to, or as a component of their device.
