M Series and E Series support arms are called "fixed height" because one sets their position in the GCX channel profile. They typically offer tilt and swivel adjustments at the front and may pivot left and right at the rear.

VHM Series support arms - referred to as "variable height" because the device can move up and down after the arm is set in the GCX channel profile and they can be adjusted up and down for access by different height users. They typically offer tilt and swivel adjustments at the front-end of the arm and offer lateral positioning of the arm (left and right).
