Spinal Column Bones from the neck to the tailbone.
Vetebra Each bone in the spinal column (backbone)
Vertebrae Two or more Vertebra.
Cervical Division Neck. Has 7 bones labeled C1-C7.
Thoracic Division Chest. Has 12 bones labeled T1-T12.
Lumbar Division Waist or Loin. Has 5 bones labeled L1-L5.
Sacral Division Sacrum or lower back. Has 5 fused bones labeled S1-S5.
Coccygeal Division Coccyx or Tailbone. Has 4 fused bones.
C1-C7 Cervical Bones (Neck)
T1-T12 Thoractic Bones.
L1-L5 Lumbar Bones.
S1-S5 Sarcral bones (lower back).
Disk or Disc Flexible connective tissue that lies between each backbone. It's composed of Cartlidge.
Cartlidge Cusion between the bones (considered the Disk or Disc).
