Contains god s word, but also contains some errors-mormons believe that the bible is the word of god so far as it is translated correctly. while errors and vague doctrines do exist in the bible, it is considered holy scripture and is used as both a historical and an official doctrinal record for the church. where errors exist, joseph smith wrote corrections and clarification. these changes and additions are called the joseph smith translation and are contained in the footnotes of the standard king james bible. the book of mormon is another holy record created by ancient american prophets that also explains the gospel of christ and that testifies that jesus christ is the savior and redeemer of the world.
