I don't think this right because I think the real reason clay hates mrs.derby is because he wants it to be just him and his dad. Clays mom (the love of my derby's life) died in child birth so Mr.derby was left all alone with clay and he didn't know what to do with clay so he just let nannies are care of him and clay must of been very lonely and distant from his father as a child so when he finally grows up and his father starts accepting him (this is shown when he buys him a slave) only to have js place be takin by a stupid girl who is only two years older than him and is taking up all of mr debris love and attention.
