The types of nouns that cannot be perceived by the senses are abstract nouns. In grammar, parts of speech refers to categories of words having similar properties as far as grammatical usage is concerned. The words that are placed in a single category in parts of speed usually play similar roles in a sentence structure.

There are around 8 or 9 parts of speech that are listed commonly in English language. These include, noun, verb, adverb, adjective, preposition, interjection, conjunction, pronouns, and determiner. A formal student of English grammar must know about all of the above mentioned parts of speech.
