101 Keys.
Generally, most of the US traditional keyboards have 101 keys. However, there is not as such standard to have keys in any Keyboard. Rest depends on the shape and size of the keyboard and for which purpose you are going to use that.
The average keyboard has a 101 keys. However, there are different types of keyboard. Even the computer keyboard comes in different formats with different keys. Some have different shapes and sizes which makes the number of keys a variable.
Piano keyboards and musical keyboards have different key arrangement and number depending on their complexity and the company that produced them. Conventional keyboards show variation as well. Mostly, the top row of keys as well as the number of keys on the right hand side vary. Of course, the alphabetical order is same in all keyboards to maintain a pattern for remembrance.
There are actually a few different keyboards. There is a keyboard on a piano, a computer keyboard and a keyboard that plays music which is a smaller version of a piano. A standard piano is known to have eighty-eight keys including both the white and black keys. Most computer keyboards have about 104 keys, but some computer keyboards may have more or less depending on the computer.
A musical keyboard may be slightly smaller than a regular piano, and so it would have fewer keys. However, some keyboards are just as big as the keyboards on a piano. They would have the standard 88 just like the regular piano. A computer keyboard might have more keys if it has both the American alphabet and another language like Chinese that uses different characters.
