The correct answer to this question is pressure. It is a mechanoreceptor, used to percieve touch. Pressure itself is a sense of touch, which is the result of skin contacting the surface. It is a part of five types of skin stimuli, which are precieved by the skin. The other four skin stimulis are tactile, temperature, pain, and vibration.

There are four types of mechanoreceptors. The first are Merkel's disks, which are slow adapting receptors, normally found on the top layer of both the dermis and epidermis. Meissner corpuscles are also found there, but they are faster adapting receptors. The other two are Ruffini's corpuscles and Pacinia corpuscles, which are receptors that help in walking and playing sports.
