This type of noun is called a concrete noun. The opposite of this is an abstract noun. The abstract noun is usually used to describe concepts, thoughts, and ideas that cannot be experienced by the 5 senses. If you still do not understand what a concrete noun is, you simply have to look around you.

Take a look at all of the items that are available. There is a big possibility that all of these items are examples of concrete nouns. What about your dreams then? Your dream is an example of an abstract noun because not all of your senses are used in the process.
