How do you change column width to fit the contents in Microsoft Excel?

Follow these steps to change the column size:

  1. Select the column(s) that you want to change.
  2. Click on the cell group on the home tab and then click format.
  3. Under cell size, click the column width.
  4. Now you can the value of your choice in the column width box.
  5. Click OK.
