Infrared

Infrared is the area beyond red, outside of the visible part of the color spectrum and Infrared communication is the process of using light emitting and receiving devices to send information from one place to another, usually a line-of-sight distance. The BIOS setting for infrared are specific to the motherboard manufacturer and some of them are as follows:

InfraRed Duplex Type/IR Function Duplex
Select the value required by the IR device connected to the IR port. Full-duplex mode permits two-direction transmission simultaneously. Half-duplex mode permits transmission in only one direction at a time. If no infrared port is present in the system, Disabled option is selected.
