The computer has other problems caused by memory. The Computer Intermittently Reports Errors, Crashes Frequently, or Spontaneously Reboots: Possible causes are ESD (Electro-static Discharge), overheating, corrosion, or a faulty power supply. If you suspect damage in ESD, get in touch with the memory manufacturer and ask for a replacement. In case you suspect corrosion, clean the memory contacts and the sockets. If you are suspecting the power supply is faulty, an overall computer troubleshooting needs to be performed with a focus on the power supply.
Registry Errors: Windows writes a large portion of the registry on to RAM. Sometimes defective memory causes registry errors. On such occasions Windows reports a registry error and prompts you to restart and restore. If the prompts repeat, remove the newly installed memory and restart the computer. If the errors disappear, then replace the failing memory module.
