Click Start >> select Shut Down from the menu >> Select Restart from the Shut Down Windows screen to restart the computer >> click OK button to confirm restart.
Now connect the USB device directly to the USB port on your computer.
Incase the system does not detect the device; install the drivers manually for which you might need drivers from the device manufacturer.
