- Follow the instructions as indicated in the lesson titled 'Procedure and Guidelines' - PREWORK.
- Remove the keyboard.
- Remove the display assembly.
- Remove the three M2 x 3-mm screws labeled "circle P" from the top of the palm rest.
- Disconnect the touch pad connector from the system board.
- Turn the computer over and remove the nine M2.5 x 8-mm screws.
- Starting at the back center of the palm rest, use your fingers to separate the palm rest from the computer base by lifting the inside of the palm rest while pushing in on the outside.
